Laura Lykins has been tuning and repairing pianos in southern Indiana since the late 1990’s. In 1997, she was able to branch out from playing the piano into tuning and servicing by apprenticing with Bob Robbins of Columbus, Indiana. Bob tuned, repaired, moved, and rebuilt pianos in the Bartholomew County area for over 40 years. Her current mentor is Ron Winter of Winter & Sons Piano Company in Indianapolis where she hones her technician skills in the piano rebuilding shop on a regular basis.
